  1. Fergal the dragon did a lot of things on impulse when he was angry. As a result of making bad decisions he caused his friends to be angry with him by destroying their games, toys and food. Fergal’s mother taught him how to stop and count to ten to help him regain composure and to let his emotions settle down before he ended up making a bad decision.
The same type of thing happens when we make bad choices regarding financial decisions. Often when we buy something on impulse, it often turns out as buyers’ remorse. For instance, my mother always taught me to make a list before I went grocery shopping. This helped me to stay within my budget; only purchase the items I needed and not regret spending money I didn’t need to spend. Impulse shopping or spending can and does lead to a lot of consumer debt that could easily be avoided.
